Update on 'Airstrip One' or 'The Great Cold Ashby Lay-by Mystery'

Thanks to extensive enquiries by Cold Ashby Parish Council, we now know that ‘Airstrip One’, is, allegedly, a ‘chipping dump’.
The Rambler suggests this may be the best surfaced, most expensive chipping dump in living memory!
This raises another intriguing question :
When tons of chippings arrive where will the school buses park?
