The Future for Long Buckby Library?

After discussions with the Library Supporters Group, the County Council have proposed that Long Buckby Library becomes a ‘Community Managed Library’ and remains in its current premises.

The following is from their website:

It is proposed that Long Buckby Library no longer forms part of NCC statutory

library provision. A needs assessment has identified that this library is within 5

miles of a library remaining within NCC statutory provision at Daventry.

As this would be outside NCC’s statutory library provision, if this arrangement

becomes unviable, the service would cease.

There is potentially £39,900 Section 106 money available to invest.
